      Jan '24@Christian Sancto it all depends who the contact is, but in general with independent clients I am taking them through a type of sales funnel with initial messages. With music industry contacts I just go straight for the offer or pitch with my initial message.

    First momentum win

    Just landed a deal with an artist to do 5 singles next year - going to do them for $1k a pop, and have her pay me $500/month for 10 months. Really looking forward to transitioning a few of my existing clients to this type of payment schedule so I can have some more reliable income next year. I think I probably could have charged more, but it was my first time pitching a $5k project to someone so I just wanted to make sure I could land it. You live and learn!     Landed big deal with a Momentum Model client!

    Happy Holidays! Recently applied the 3 part offer concepts around building a 'Momentum Model' offer for a client. I knew this client previously and consider them a friend as well, but through the framework managed to close them on a retention plan where we meet every week to write, produce, mix, and work on content / branding. It was for a hefty price each month (for me) and am really excited about the time it's going to unlock for our continued work!

    small composition win

    had an opportunity to chat with a film director who needed a score for a college thesis and a NYS competition recently and the call went great! i applied much of what Daniel talks about in the videos and the pricing/expectation weren’t even a problem to the client. this is my first purely solo filmscoring job and i’m excited to get started on the project! (my other filmscores involved me working with a team)

    Small but mighty win!

    This is my first win since joining Dark Label, super stoked. I've been networking with songwriters, producers, DL members, artists, potential clients etc(both in person and online but mostly in person) in the past 2 months. Trying to build relationships with artists from different scene around LA, went to their shows, connected with their managers and I finally closed a deal for a 3-song project at my new rates. Thanks to DL framework and everyone who helped and gave me suggestions along the way ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

I recommend checking out the workshop I did a few weeks back and studying other channels.     woehoew ... I just did my first SSF-call with a client that reached out to me! He checked my price in the summer (before I discovered DLM) and gave him my day-price (500). Back then I noticed a lot of hesitation because he mostly pays that amount for 1 song.       Nov '23@Christian Sancto I wouldn't recommend that, but my mind blanked for a moment ... although I watched the video's about SSF calls 5 times, translated the frames and made them my own, went over them a few times. But hey - next time I'll fail a little better!I heard some of his demo's this summer, so I noticed his lyrics needed some love and the songs weren't there yet.
