    First Close in 11 Months

    Hey Team, I finally closed a $3000 project using the SSF model. It's with a Spoken Word artist and the project will include 10 beats from my catalog as well as some artist development.     Sharing this win to offer some encouragement for anyone struggling with content. Dan mentioned it in his last live stream but I had my first serious enquiry directly from an IG reel last week which looks like it'll lead to at least one paid single production. I've also had another couple of wins lately from the short form content - a reachout via my Typeform and a couple of comment replies leading to casual convos/leads. Still early days but it's very encouraging to know this stuff really does lead to more work. Very grateful to be here!!

    Hi All, I've been looking for a reason to post here since my introductory post and just got it this morning. I've sold my first project as a direct consequence of the dark label outreach approach! It is a full song production and mixing for an artist based in Texas (I'm based in San Diego).     1st Paid Proof Session

    Just had my first proof session with an artist that was a previous vocal student. Went really well - she's excited. I'm excited. It kinda rolled into a SSF at the end - but I had my offer numbers in place so I knew what to say when she asked. Setting up a monthly amount for 2 sessions a month + vocal production work. Which feels like it will grow into more production/songwriting/tracking work - as we progress. Feeling pumped - thanks Dan and Aaron and the Dark Label community!

The goal posts keep moving as you progress, that's the true mark of an entrepreneur and who knows where it will take you! I for one know that I'm never satisfied, that's why I actually rarely share my wins. That's also a default though, and looking back occasionally to give yourself a pat on the back is important.     First outbound client since starting DL

    Thought I would share a win: last week I signed my first outbound client at my full rate since starting Dark Label. Nothing crazy, just a single, but significant for me nonetheless. Met this person at an IRL networking event (listening session type thing) where I played one of the songs I worked on for my portfolio, which I got a lot of good feedback and had a few follow-up calls from, which turned into this sale. Pumped for more to come :)
