Hey, I just wanted to share a win with all of you. After 340 outreaches, I closed my first sale this week and have two other calls lined up that seem really promising! I don’t think it would have been possible without the help I’ve received here at Dark Label and the support of this community. So I just wanted to thank you all for the guidance along the way. I’m super grateful for every one of you!

Last week I worked through the project planner tool in the outbound client acquisition section of the classroom. Been struggling to close sales on the first call, I’d normally have to book a follow up call, mainly just a mental block. But I managed to close a producer for my mentorship program above my normal rate on the sales call today!

Linked up with the artist out in the UK and closed on EPing 5 song album. Mostly song finishing and working on the rollout. This is the 3rd album I've EPed so I'm thinking adding this to my offers as well.

Hey friends Sorry I havnt been as active here. I’ve had a loss in the family (mother in law) so things took a back seat for a little while. However id like to share a win and keep things positive. An artist I contacted back in February hit me up to produce for her. This occurred in late August. Sometimes it takes a while for the sale to happen. I charged my highest rate ever and am very happy with the work I did. Looking forward to more wins going forward and new opportunities arising.

This spring I invited a local artist I got to know at one of our open mic shows to come and hang out, make some beats and chill at my place. I called him up a week or so after the session to ask if he was interested to continue working on what we had started, which he was. Took me a while, but first deposit's finally in the bank! Reached out in April, kept in touch all summer long and scheduled pre production call for next Monday. Not a crazy win (1500€ for a song + some guidance on how to lead a campaign on social networks) but it's the first time I book a project at my full rate, and first time I close a deal using the SSF, so a milestone for sure.

Wow oh wow, this is a great feeling. Nearly 400 outreaches later, yesterday I wrapped up a proof session with this singer songwriter and we really vibed creatively, she loved what I did to develop out her demo track for about an hour or two and then she was eager to get the SSF scheduled for the next day to find out about all the details, so one SSF later this evening, I’ve officially collected my first deposit and feel on top of the world! Hey y’all, just had a successful sales call with an inbound lead: they said the price was higher than expected, but worth it and wanted to send the deposit and start right away. Woo! What I learned: • Inbound content doesn’t need to blow up to be effective. • My first SSF call last week was awkward as heck (I went down rabbit trails and lacked confidence). since joining darklabel abt 6 months back i’ve hit some new milestones when i joined i was struggling financially bc i didn’t have a process to get clients & i was doing hella projects for free now im booked 4 months in advance, with ~6k per month coming in from ~20hr per week. i have on average 25% splits on the master for these projects also have my first in person session w a label artist coming up on tuesday grateful to have gained stability in LA, where i see so many producers struggling now my ... Just wanted to drop a quick appreciation post for Daniel and the team 🙌🏾 Before working with Dark Label, I’d been creating production content for around 7 years, but I was burning out trying to run a sample pack business on my own. It was a lot. Dan came in and helped me simplify everything. We put together a mentorship offer that followed a similar structure to how artists work (applications, sales calls, proposals etc...)
