I just got back from a little holiday, and I closed $7k worth of projects in 2 days. 1 project through my network, 1 through outreach, and 3 from YouTube! I still have another project from a returning client I should close on Monday, so maybe $8K! The beginning of the year wasn't the easiest due to some not-so-great decision-making (I learned some business lessons the hard way), so that feels good!

Had a huge realization yesterday during a call with Dan We were digging into why I wasn’t closing as many sales as I’d like and long story short — we found out I was skipping over the 3 part offer (Prescribe the solution) So today, I had a sales call with someone looking to get a song mixed and this time, I made sure to go through the full framework, especially emphasizing the 3-part offer Closed the deal, collected a deposit, and wasn’t even met with any pushback on the price Just wanted to share this in case anyone else might be missing a vital step in their calls

Stoked to bring a new artist into the momentum model, we agreed a sliding scale 700-900 per month. First session on the 21st 🧨🧨🧨

I've definitely been in the early stages of my Dark Label journey for a little while, but an artist I work with liked their first EP so much that they've booked me for an album two songs at a time for the coming three months. Still at lower prices since my business is in the early stages, but good work led to steady work and steady work leads to steady engagement. All thanks to what I'm learning from the community here. A goal that I've had is to increase the amount of projects that I close per month. So far it's been 1 a month since November. Dan and I went over my numbers and decided that I would need to increase outreach to get more closes. That has, in turn, resulted in me closing 4 projects back to back. Two this week. Sup guys! Just chiming in to say that I've closed a project with an artist who decided to do a song with me - it went so well that they've decided to do 4 more songs together. After a bunch of back and forth, I just got the deposit. This is the biggest project I've actually closed to date, which is really exciting and motivating! Definitely feels like a shift toward stability after so many one off sessions and songs. Trying to rope in a few more package deals over here. Anyways keep at it guys! If you stay consistent you'll succeed.

Yesterday I brought on my second momentum model client since joining Dark Label at 600-700/month sliding scale, and today I had a great first session with a client who is paying me 1200 per song. Having a process has seriously changed the game for me. Still working on improving systems and skills ofc. To be honest things were looking bleak when my process wasn’t dialed in, it’s been mad inspiring to see things actually working. Thought I would share some wins from the last few months as I’ve been a bit quiet. I’ve been working with my production team (my roommates) to get clients and produce together as a trio. It’s been working surprisingly well so far, but still lots to improve on. I've really enjoyed learning from others experiences on the youtube mastermind calls and I'm so happy to say that it's really starting to make a difference for my channel. Being around other like minded youtube creators has helped me change my mindset to one of consistency and improvement with each post and getting to learn from others wins (and mistakes, including mine 😅), I've finally had a video go 1 of 10 for the first time since October of last year! Just closed two full rate songs in one day, both the day after 3 hr trial sessions. Something I've seen really work well for artists who value great production but need help with cashflow on their end is offering to go on a monthly plan with one song. I would recommend you get them on an mandatory autopay system (I use Honeybook invoicing for that) and have in your payment terms that work will discontinue if they don't finish payment, miss a payment, pause payments, etc. If I feel resistance on ... I got a call with a new client yesterday. She heard from me through a recommendation of an artist I work with a lot and asked me if I’d produce her new single. I applied the SSF during our call (and messed up a lot of different parts of it but it was my first haha) and managed to close the sale with my new established rates ! Just got off an SSF follow up call where I closed a project with an inbound lead generated from content! It's the first time I've closed a project through inbound so I'm excited about it. Outreach is still my main focus at the moment because I have more control over it but I'd eventually like to have a bit of a balance between outbound and inbound lead generation. Wanted to share a funny win that happened because of doing outreach. Funny because it started quite badly: found an artist that made music I liked, we scheduled a first casual call which he missed, followed by a second one which I thought went bad because he looked bored with the conversation.
